Dr. Alex was born in Ukraine, where he lived until the age of 7, when his family moved to Israel. After spending a significant part of his life in Israel, he and his family decided to make a home in Canada.

He comes from a family of dental professionals, with his grandfather and father being a lab technician and a denturist. Their choice of profession inspired Dr. Alex to become a dentist.

Dr. Alex graduated from the faculty of dentistry at the University of Manitoba with a DMD dental degree and a Bachelor of Science in dentistry degree.

Recently Dr Alex completed a Master of Science Degree in Implantology at the Goethe University in Frankfurt.

Dr. Alex has also been actively involved in continuing education programs since graduation, predominantly in the area of implant dentistry. He is proud to offer implant dentistry services to the patients of East Kildonan Dental

He is also a clinical instructor at the college of dentistry in the area of dental diagnostics and surgical sciences, a position he has held since 2011.

Dr. Alex believes that being a dental professional is only part of his role in the community. He is involved in the Jewish Foundation since right after graduating he established a scholarship for young adults who wish to pursue post-secondary education and he sits on their grants committee on that foundation.

Dr. Alex is also dancing in Chai Folk Ensemble and Rusalka Dance Ensemble as those are both integral parts of his culture and heritage.

For the past several years, Dr. Alex has participated in annual dental missions to Guatemala through an organization called Health Outreach. The main purpose of these mission trips is providing dental services to underprivileged people in the rural areas of Guatemala. While in Guatemala, he also developed a soccer program for local children and holds an annual drive for donations of gently used soccer equipment and a soccer tournament between local villages.

Dr. Alex is fluent in English, Russian, Hebrew, and is currently working on his Spanish.
